Seth Rudetsky

Seth Rudetsky is an American musician, actor, writer, and radio host. He currently is the host of Seth's Big Fat Broadway on Sirius Satellite Radio's Broadway's Best. In this role, Rudetsky is the voice of Broadway theatre for people across the United States.

SETH RUDETSKY graduated from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music in 1988 with a degree in Piano Performance. Off-Broadway, he played piano for The Fantasticks, Forever Plaid, and Pageant. On Broadway, he's played in the pit of My Favorite Year, Les Miserables, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, An Inspector Calls, How To Succeed..., Patti LuPone Live, Ragtime, Saturday Night Fever, Grease (also asst. conductor), Victor/Victoria (also asst. conductor), and The Producers.

Rudetsky was nominated for the Emmy Award on three occasions for his work as a comedy writer for The Rosie O'Donnell Show. He was a writer for the Grammy Award shows of 1999 and 2000. Rudetsky created the opening numbers for the 1998 and 2000 Tony Awards. Rudetsky also wrote the opening number for the last seven Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS Easter Bonnet Competitions, and has been responsible for many of their Gypsy Of The Year shows. On Thursday evenings at 6pm, he hosts Seth's Broadway Chatterbox, a one hour talk show, at a New York City club, "Don't Tell Mama" - proceeds are donated to Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. He also hosts the annual Seth's Broadway 101 show.
